In this case if things do get out of hand there are professionals on standby to step in and address the problem. This last option eliminates the problem of your dogs getting homesick when they are at the kennels. Of course they will still miss you, but this cannot be helped, and indeed it might actually be good for them to experience the difference of being handled by somebody else, or nobody at all.
